The No. 11 Syracuse University women's rowing team raced against No. 2 Stanford on Saturday to kick off its weekend in Redwood Shores, Calif. The Cardinal won all four races against the Orange.
Syracuse's varsity four delivered a stellar effort in the first race of the day, clocking a time of 7:46.9 to finish just 5.5 seconds behind Stanford. The Orange's second varsity eight followed, finishing behind Stanford (6:57.4) with a time of 7:14.8.
Next up for the Orange was the varsity eight, which turned in a time of 6:41.4 to finish behind Stanford (6:53.4). The second varsity four wrapped up the day for Syracuse, posting a time of 8:04.0 to place behind the Cardinal (7:48.2).
Syracuse concludes its stay at Redwood Shores tomorrow against No. 8 California. The first race for the Orange is scheduled to begin at 12:08 p.m.
