Shastova Makes Singles Final At ITA New England Regionals

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Serafima Shastova advanced to the singles final at ITA New England Regionals on Monday, as the sophomore won her semifinal match at Harvard in straight sets.
Shastova defeated Michela Moore of Dartmouth 6-4, 6-3 in her semifinal. It was her third straight-set win of the tournament and her second in a row. Shastova has five wins this week and is up to eight total this fall.
The championship match will be played tomorrow, which is the final day of the event. Shastova will face Boston College's Olivia Benton, who won her semifinal in three sets against her Boston College teammate Natalie Eordekian.
