SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Orange are prepped to host Central New York foe Colgate at the SU Soccer Stadium on Tuesday Sept. 23 at 7 p.m. The contest will honor Military Appreciation Night with a hometown hero feature prior to kickoff and during halftime.

'Cuse Update
The Orange dropped their first road game of the season against ACC opponent No.19 Duke on Friday Sept. 19. Duke struck first in the seventh minute, with a goal off the left post from Jose Ortega. Max Simpson and Trevor Burns collected assists on the play. In the 78th minute, Duke's Ulfur Bjornson netted the ball off a pass from Simpson. Vold was also credited with an assist as the Blue Devils sealed the win.
Both teams played a physical game, accumulating 32 fouls total. The Orange were outshot by its opponent, accounting for eight shots compared to Duke's 15. The Orange now hold a 2-1-0 record on the road and a 2-4-2 (0-2-0) record overall.

Scouting the Raiders
Colgate (4-2-2) comes off a scoreless draw with Bucknell (Sept. 20) in Hamilton, New York.
Senior goalkeeper Eric Widrick collected his fifth shutout of the season for the Raiders. Freshman Cole Ramey leads the Raiders with three goals this season, his most recent against Albany on Sept. 20. The forward also collected one assist and four shots on goal.

In 2024, Colgate finished fourth in the Patriot League with a 4-3-2 conference record and a 8-9-3 record overall. The Raiders' season ended in the Patriot League Tournament Championship, when Colgate fell 3-0 to Bucknell.
