
Muchnick, Former Orange Invited to USA Lacrosse Training Camps

SPARKS, Maryland – Rising senior Emma Muchnick highlights a group of five current and former Orange who will take part in USA Lacrosse's upcoming national team training camps.

Muchnick, who helped Team USA to a gold medal at last summer's Women's World U20 Championship, is one of 34 players invited to a training camp in preparation for this year's Pan-American Women's Lacrosse Championship. The Suffern, New York native had a breakout season in 2025 when she led the Orange in goals with a career-high 34. The midfielder also posted career-best totals in points (41), ground balls (27) and caused turnovers (9). Muchnick was voted to the All-ACC First Team as well as the All-Northeast Region First Team. She earned third-team All-America honors from US Lacrosse Magazine and honorable mention All-America accolades from Inside Lacrosse.

Muchnick will be joined at the training camp, which runs from June 9-11, by former 'Cuse All-Americans Katie Goodale, Kate Mashewske and Delaney Sweitzer. Goodale set the single-season school record with 45 caused turnovers to go along with 43 ground balls in 2024 when she was an IWLCA first team All-American. She finished her career with a program-best 102 caused turnovers. Mashewske ranks as Syracuse's single-season (234) and career (577) record holder for draw controls. She was a second-team IWLCA All-America pick in 2024. Sweitzer was a two-year starter for the Orange and was named IWLCA Goalkeeper of the Year in 2023.

In addition, Emily Hawryschuk is one of 26 players invited to a sixes training camp ahead of this summer's World Games in Chengdu, China. The camp will run from June 11-12 in Sparks, Maryland.

Hawryschuk, who is Syracuse's all-time leader in goals with 272, was a member of the U.S. team that beat Canada, 8-7, to win the 2023 Super Sixes in Oshawa, Ontario. She scored two goals and had an assist in the championship game. The World Games 2025 will use the sixes format that will be utilized for the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.
