
Former Orange to Compete at PALA Championship for Haudenosaunee Nationals

Four former Syracuse standouts will represent the Haudenosaunee Nationals at the upcoming Pan-American Lacrosse Association (PALA) Women's Championship in Auburndale, Florida. The group includes Sierra Cockerille, Alie Jimerson, Jalyn Jimerson and Ally Trice.

Cockerille earned a spot on the IWLCA All-America Third Team in her final season at 'Cuse in 2023 when she scored a career-high 28 goals, including two hat tricks, to go along with 13 assists. In addition, Cockerille has 18 ground balls, seven caused turnovers and a career-best 22 draw controls. The midfielder also earned All-ACC second team accolades.

Alie Jimerson played for the Orange in 2017-18 after transferring from UAlbany. The attacker scored 27 goals as a junior to go along with 12 assists. In two seasons, Jimerson recorded 59 points on 34 goals and 25 assists.

Jalyn Jimerson played in 21 games for the Orange in 2019-22. She had three goals in the first nine games of the 2022 season before suffering a season-ending injury. The attacker played for the Haudenosaunee Nationals at the 2022 World Championship and the U-19 World Championship.

Trice was a two-year starter on defense for Syracuse. As a senior in 2021, Trice, who also competed at the 2022 World Championship for the Haudenosaunee, helped the Orange rank 15th in the nation in scoring defense, allowing 9.95 goals per game. She finished her career with 49 ground balls and 27 caused turnovers.

The eight-team PALA Championship features Argentina, Canada, Haudenosaunee, Jamaica, Mexico, Peru, Puerto Rico and the United States at the Lake Myrtle Sports Complex from June 26-30. The top four finishers will earn spots in the Division I bracket of the 2026 World Lacrosse Women's Championship in Japan with the next three finishers qualifying for the Division II bracket.
