SPARKS, Md. – Syracuse rising senior Emma Muchnick and 2024 graduate Katie Goodale are among the 22 players selected to represent the United States in the Pan-American Lacrosse Association (PALA) Women's Championship later this month in Auburndale, Florida.
Muchnick will represent Team USA for the second-straight summer as she helped the United States win a gold medal at the 2025 Women's World U20 Championship in Hong Kong. The midfielder had a breakout season in 2025, posting career highs in goals (34), points (41), ground balls (27) and caused turnovers (9). She was voted to the All-ACC First Team as well as the All-Northeast Region First Team. She earned third-team All-America honors from US Lacrosse Magazine and honorable mention All-America accolades from Inside Lacrosse.
Goodale set the single-season school record with 45 caused turnovers to go along with 43 ground balls in 2024 when she was an IWLCA first team All-American. She finished her career with a program-best 102 caused turnovers.
The U.S. will participate in the PALA continental qualifier for the first time. The eight-team championship features Argentina, Canada, Haudenosaunee, Jamaica, Mexico, Peru, Puerto Rico and the United States at the Lake Myrtle Sports Complex from June 26-30. The top four finishers will earn spots in the Division I bracket of the 2026 World Lacrosse Women's Championship in Japan with the next three finishers qualifying for the Division II bracket.
