
Five Earn All-Region Honors

SYRACUSE, New York – Graduate student Emma Ward and junior Emma Muchnick headline a group of five members of the Orange named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-Northeast Region Teams announced on Friday, May 16. Ward and Muchnick were All-Region First Team honorees, while juniors Danny Guyette and Coco Vandiver and sophomore Kaci Benoit were second-team selections.

Ward led Syracuse in points (76) and assists (46) this season. She also tied for second in goals with 30. She posted four or more points in 12 games and had multiple goals in 10 contests. Ward, who was a Tewaaraton Award nominee, finished her career as Syracuse's all-time leader in assists with 169. She also became the seventh player in program history to record 300 career points (324).

Muchnick was the Orange's leading goal scorer in 2025 with a career-best 34. She also posted career highs in points (41), ground balls (27) and caused turnovers (9). The midfielder scored multiple goals in 12 games, including a career-high five at Loyola. Muchnick was voted to the All-ACC First Team.

Guyette, Vandiver and Benoit anchored the 'Cuse defense that held its opponents to 10 goals or less in six games this season. Guyette posted a .433 save percentage and an 11.37 goals-against average in her first season as a starter. She posted 10 or more saves in eight games. Vandiver caused 40 turnovers this season, which ranks second on Syracuse's single-season record list, to go along with 34 ground balls. Benoit also had 34 ground balls as well as 13 caused turnovers and 12 draw controls. All three were voted to the All-ACC Third Team.
