Indoor: Placed fourth in the dash, tying his PR of 6.83 at the Big East Championship....At Cornell Relays on Dec.1st Jihaad Howard ran the 300 Meter Dash with a time of 35.87, placing 11th overall...Came in third place at the Upstate Challenge with a time of 6.90
Freshman Year (2011-2012)
Outdoor: Finished seventh in the 100-meter dash at the BIG EAST Championship (10.47 seconds) to qualify for the IC4A Championship … Also ran as part of the 4x100-meter relay team at the BIG EAST Championship, finishing third overall with a time of 40.63 seconds … Competed with the 4x100-meter relay team at the Penn Relays (41.25 seconds) … Also ran with the 4x200-meter relay at the Penn Relays (1:20.03) … Ran with the 4x100-meter relay team at the UNC Kent Taylor/Joe Hilton Invitational, finishing third with a time of 41.89 seconds to qualify for IC4A competition … Also ran in the 200-meter dash at UNC, finishing 15th overall with a time of 22.64 seconds, and finished seventh in the 100-meter dash (11.11 seconds) … Helped the 4x400-meter relay team qualify for the IC4A Championship with a 12th place finish at the Tiger Track Classic, and qualified for the BIG EAST Championship in the 100-meter dash with a 24th place finish (10.95 seconds).
Indoor: Competed in the preliminary heat of the 400-meter dash at the Columbia Last Chance Meet (49.99 seconds) … Also finished fourth overall in the 60-meter dash, finishing with a season best time of 6.88 seconds … Ran in the preliminary heats of the 200-meter dash at the New Balance Collegiate Invitational (22.30 seconds) … Also finished fifth in the 60-meter dash at New Balance (6.97 seconds) … Finished 19th overall in the 200-meter dash at the Penn State National Invitational to qualify for BIG EAST competition (22.42 seconds) … Also ran in the preliminary heat of the 60-meter dash at Penn State (6.93 seconds) … Qualified for BIG EAST and IC4A competition in the 60-meter dash at the Cornell Relays, finishing sixth with a time of 6.93 seconds.
