Jamir Brown claimed the ACC Championship in the 110-meter hurdles, managing to set a school record after withstanding a lengthy weather delay.
Brown was had concluded warmups and was ready to race when inclement weather moved into the Louisville area. But following a 3.5 hour delay, Brown struck gold in a lightning-fast 13.25 seconds, 0.07 seconds ahead of Florida State's Zach Extine to claim his first conference title.
The time bested the previous school record – which he shared with Jaheem Hayles – by 0.03 seconds in his career-best effort. Â
Brown is the fourth Syracuse hurdler to win a conference title since Syracuse joined the league in 2014, joining Donald Pollit (110H – 2014), Freddie Crittenden III (110H – 2016, 2018; 60H – 2017) and Jaheem Hayles (60H – 2024).
Teammate Isaiah Hayes took ninth in the event, crossing the line in 13.95 seconds
In addition to Brown, Benne Anderson and Drew Zundell both scored in the 1,500-meter run and earned All-ACC honors. Anderson placed third in 3:41.07, followed by Zundell in sixth (3:42.15). Anderson was the top underclassman finisher, following Virginia Tech's Nicholas Plant and Virginia's Gary Martin, who are both seniors.
Peyton Rollins finished ninth in the 100-meter hurdles after posting a time of 13.76 seconds.
The Syracuse women posted a season-best in the 4x100-meter dash, crossing the line in 45.62 seconds, which was good for 11th. Clemson took the crown in an ACC record time of 42.48 seconds.
The event concluded with the 5,000-meter run. Having both scored earlier in the day, Anderson and Zundell were scratched from the 5k, leaving Ben Gabelman as the lone Orange competitor. He crossed the line in 14:09.39, which earned him 21st.
Jayden Harberts ran to a time of 16:41.02 in the women's race, placing 21st.
