Benne Anderson set a new personal best in the 1,500-meter run, while collecting a victory at the Duke Twilight meet.
Anderson crossed the line in 3:36.45, nearly a second ahead of Eastern Kentucky's Bradley Giblin to secure the win. Anderson was just 0.38 seconds off Justyn Knight's school record in the event.
Anderson's time now puts him at No. 10 nationally and seventh among runners who are in the NCAA's east prelim regions. He'll head to the ACC Championships with the conference's third-best time.
