BERKELEY, CALIF. – Syracuse is off to the west coast to take on ACC opponent California on Saturday Sept. 27 at 6 p.m. ET. This is the first meeting between the two teams.

'Cuse Update
The Orange won their first home game of the season 3-0 against Central New York foe, Colgate, on Tuesday Sept. 23. Senior Carlos Zambrano captured a hat-trick, giving head coach Ian McIntyre his 142nd win with the Orange - the most in program history.
Zambrano's first goal was off a penalty kick in the 58th minute after Colgate's Ethan Harris tripped Sachiel Ming. The midfielder struck again in the 60th minute after his corner kick arced into the back corner of the net, untouched by both teams. Zambrano capped off his hat trick off an assist from Landon Darko in the 66th minute.
The Orange now hold a 1-3-2 record at home and a 3-4-2 (0-2-0) record overall.

Scouting the Golden Bears
California (4-3-2) comes off a 1-0 win at UNC Asheville (Sept. 23).
Redshirt senior goalkeeper Connor Lambe leads in the net with 16 saves this season and three shutouts. Graduate student Luka Lukic leads the Golden Bears with five goals and one assist this season. Lukic scored the lone goal for California in the 47th minute against UNC Ashville on Tuesday.
The Golden Bears were projected to finish in 12th place in the conference this year according to the ACC Preseason Coaches Poll. California currently stands in seventh place. In 2024, California finished its first season in the ACC in 12th place with a 2-4-2 conference record. The Golden Bears season ended in the semifinal round of the ACC Championship with a 3-2 loss to Clemson.
