Orange Take Down Mercyhurst in Exhibition

SYRACUSE, N.Y.- The Syracuse men's soccer team defeated Mercyhurst 4-1 in its second exhibition match of the season. Michael Acquah, Bright Nutornutsi, Callum Lugton and Sachiel Ming each scored goals for 'Cuse, providing the Orange with its second exhibition win in as many matches.
Acquah struck first for the Orange, scoring his first goal of the preseason. For the second game in a row, Nutornutsi netted the ball. Mercyhurst's Alvar Silva snuck in with a goal, before freshman Lugton fired back to put 'Cuse up 3-1 at the half. Ming sealed the fate for the Orange in the second half, giving Syracuse its fourth goal of the game.
Syracuse will return to SU Stadium for its last exhibition game on Saturday Aug. 16 against St. John's at 2 p.m.
Admission and parking is free at all exhibition and regular season matches.
