Orange Tabbed #11 In CRCA Coaches Poll

Syracuse dropped one spot to No. 11 in this week's CRCA Coaches poll, which was released on April 8. The Orange competed against Yale and Cornell over the weekend at the Cayuga Cup in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.

The Orange competed in six races against the Bulldogs and Big Red on Saturday, all of which were won by Yale, who jumped from No. 6 to No. 5 in this week's poll. Syracuse finished second in all six events, but Yale retained the Cayuga Cup with its win in the varsity eight.

The Orange were one of six ACC teams in this week's poll. Stanford remained at the No. 2 spot with Cal also in the top 10 at No. 8. Virginia jumped from No. 13 to No. 10, with Duke (14th) and North Carolina (22nd) remaining in this week's rankings. Texas maintained its No. 1 ranking with 2,947 points. Syracuse has been ranked either No. 10 or 11 in each of the five CRCA Coaches polls this season.

Syracuse travels west this weekend to race No. 2 Stanford and No. 8 Cal in Redwood Shores, Calif. The Orange will square off with the Cardinal on Saturday, April 12 before facing the Golden Bears on Sunday, April 13.
