Prior to Syracuse: Played club for Club Raffelberg under head coach Sus Wollschläger … captained her U16 team … won West German championships in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2021, 2023, and 2024 … captured youth championships in 2022-23, 2023, and 2025 … played with former Syracuse defender Taja Gans.
Personal: Full name is Carla Mauer … daughter of Tina Mauer and Stefan Maurer … has three siblings: Frieda, Henrike, Mathilda … most admires her mother, who is always there for her and always knows what to do … hobbies include hockey, music, skiing, and sailing … favorite food is pasta and enjoys vacations in the Netherlands … selected Syracuse for its combination of excellent academic programs and continuing to play hockey at a high level … excited to meet new and amazing people while growing academically and personally … has not settled on a major.
