Brown's Runner-Up Highlights Final Day of ACCs

Jamir Brown was runner-up in the 60-meter hurdles, to lead four scorers for the Syracuse track and field teams on the final day of the ACC Indoor Track and Field Championships.
Brown turned in a time of 7.56 seconds, tied for the 14th-best time in the nation and a new career best, but was was edged at the line by 0.01 seconds by Florida State's Andre Korbmacher for the conference title.
The Orange also had two women in the women's 60-meter hurdles final, as Taleea Buxton earned another All-ACC honor, taking fourth place. She crossed the line in 8.29 seconds. Tia Outlaw also scored, placing eighth in 8.50 seconds.
Drew Zundell was the first Syracuse runner on the board Saturday, taking eighth in the men's mile with a time of 4:06.64. The sophomore was the highest-placing underclassmen at the event.
Assaf Harari (8:05.63) finished 16th in the 3,000-meter run, before Emma Eastman closed the competition in the women's event with a season-best time of 9:16.33.
Participants for the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships will be announced this week.
