Syracuse women's lacrosse will once again be well represented on the international stage when the Atlas Cup takes place in Sparks, Md. this weekend. Four Orange alums and current senior Paisley Cook are set to compete in the event featuring the national teams from USA, Canada, Ireland and Haudenosaunee.
Â
Cook and three former Orange – Sierra Cockerille, Jalyn Jimerson and Allyson Trice – will take the field with the Haudenosaunee National Team. Meanwhile, Bianca Chevarie will represent Canada at the three-day event.
Â
The Atlas Cup is an international sixes event hosted by USA Lacrosse. The sixes version of lacrosse is the one set to be played at the 2028 Olympics, with the event serving as a showcase and a tune-up for the Olympic pathway and qualification process. The event does not count as an official Olympic qualifier.
Â
The Atlas Cup will begin on Friday, Oct. 23 and conclude on Sunday, Oct. 25. The event is a round-robin format, each team playing one another once and the team with the best overall record at the end of the weekend is deemed the winner.
Â
Each game will be streamed live for free on the USA Lacrosse YouTube Channel.
