SYRACUSE, N.Y.- The Orange (1-1-0) are set to host Penn State (1-1-0) on Thursday Aug. 28 at 7 p.m. at the SU Soccer Stadium. Syracuse is coming off of a 1-0 win on the road against Loyola Maryland, whereas the Nittany Lions were held to a 2-1 loss at Army.

'Cuse is coming off a 1-0 win against Loyola Maryland on Aug. 24th where graduate defender Tim Brdaric tallied his first goal in an Orange uniform early in the first half to lead the team to victory.

The Orange defense remained strong as it held the Greyhounds to just 11 shots, only one aimed on target.
Other key players from Sunday's matchup included senior forward Michael Acquah who recorded five shots and sophomore midfielder Sachiel Ming who accounted for an assist and four shots.
Syracuse holds a 1-1-0 record to start the 2025 season.

Penn State is coming off a 2-1 loss at Army. The Nittany Lions were held scoreless until the 85th minute avoiding the shutout. Freshman defender Ben Nash scored the lone goal for the Nittany Lions, tallying the first in his collegiate career on an assist from redshirt-sophomore midfielder Ben Madore.
The Blue and White opened their season at home with a 2-0 win against Stetson on Aug. 21. Junior midfielder Caden Grabfelder scored both goals of the game, with the first one on an assist from senior defender Samuel Ovesen.
The Nittany Lions look to improve on a 5-9-2 overall record in 2024. Penn State's season came to a close with a 4-1 loss at Northwestern.
