'Cuse Wraps Up East Coast Relays

Syracuse concluded the East Coast Relays – its first of two meets on the weekend – on Saturday.
Malachi James qualified for the final of the 100-meter dash, posting a time of 10.29 seconds, which was the second-fastest mark of the prelims. He did not race in the final. Names Nmah (10.82 seconds) placed 30th.
Taleea Buxton placed seventh in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 13.82 seconds in the final. She posted a prelim time of 13.47 seconds. Peyton Rollins (13.82 seconds) and Madison Ceasar (14.02 seconds) were 18th and 19th, respectively.
The Orange women's 4x100-meter relay squad of Buxton, Iaunia Pointer, Rollins and Kahniya James posted a season-best time of 46.02 seconds, earning them sixth.
Emanuel Joseph took third in the 110-meter hurdles, crossing the line in 13.89 seconds. Naseem Smith also reached the finals, taking seventh in a time of 14.40 seconds. Isaiah Lewis was 12th (14.23 seconds).
Members of the Orange will race at Cornell on Sunday.
