SYRACUSE, New York --Â No. 6Â Syracuse women's lacrosse squad continue its home stretch in the JMA Wireless Dome on Saturday, Mar. 1 when it hosts No. 14/12 Clemson. Opening draw is set for 12 p.m.

ORANGE UPDATE
The Orange enter Saturday's game with a 3-2 overall record, including an 0-1 mark in ACC action. Syracuse is coming off back-to-back losses to No. 2 North Carolina and No. 3 Northwestern. The Orange have faced three top-10 opponents in their first five games of the season.
Emma Ward continues to lead the 'Cuse offense. She had six points against the Wildcats, increasing her season total to 27. Ward ranks second in the ACC and 13th in the nation in points per game (5.4). In addition, the grad student is second in the league and 12th nationally in assists (13).

SCOUTING THE TIGERS
Clemson (4-0, 1-0 ACC) took down then No. 11 Notre Dame, 12-11 last Saturday at the Loftus Sports Center in South Bend. Five Tigers scored at least two goals, and Natalie Shurtleff grabbed a hat trick on her game winning goal. The victory marked the highest ever ranked win in program history.

Saturday's game will be the third all-time meeting between Syracuse and Clemson. The Orange lead the all-time series, 2-0.

The squads met last season in Clemson. The teams traded goals before the Orange used an 8-0 scoring run to take control of the game. Emma Tyrrell capped the scoring run with her second goal and fifth point of the day at the 11:15 mark of the second quarter.Â

The Orange led by as many as 10 in the second half in a 15-6 victory. Tyrrell finished with a game-high six points (3g, 3a), while Payton Rowley led all goal scorers with a career-high four goals.
