Track Back in Boston for Weekend Meets

It's back to Boston to start the Syracuse track and field team's weekend. Opening Friday at the Eagle Invitational and David Hemery Valentine Invitational – which continues Saturday.

EAGLE INVITATIONAL:

Orange Entries
The day will begin with the men's 60-meter hurdles prelims, at 11 a.m., featuring Isaiah Hayes, Emanuel Joseph, David Peters and Isaiah Lewis . The women's prelims will follow with Peyton Rollins, Taleea Buxton, Marissa Saunders and Madison Ceasar.

Trei Thorogood and James Nmah will race in the 60-meter dash prelims at 11:30 a.m., followed 15 minutes later by the women's event that features Saunders, Olivia Garner and Kitana Burgard.

Those who reach the finals of the first two events will compete beginning at 1 p.m.

Shayla Ford and Ceasar will race in the 400-meter dash at 2:25 p.m. Immediately following Elijah Mallard, who races in the event at 2:05 p.m.

Lauren Augustyn, Caroline Kirby and Leah Futey will run in the 3,000-meters at 3:35 p.m.

Thorogood, Nmah and Mallard will compete in the 200-meter dash at 4:30 p.m. Burgard, Rollins and Garner will run again in the women's 200 at 4:50 p.m. to conclude the event.

Orange Entries:
Benne Anderson, Ben Gabelman, Asher Danielson, Ruben Rojas Betanzos, Drew Zundell and Solomon Holden-Betts will start the racing at BU at 2:20 p.m. in the men's mile.

Julian Franjieh will be next in the 3,000-meter run, which begins at 4:20 p.m.

Wrapping up day one, Sam Lawler, Assaf Harari, Connor Ackley, Sam Ricchuiti, Ethan Wechsler, Gabriel Planty, Omar Alsaidi and Connell Alford will race in the 5k at 6:40 p.m.

The women will race on Saturday, starting with Selma Anderson in the mile at 1:45 p.m.

Five more runners will compete in the 5,000-meters, as Savannah Roark, Emma Eastman, Nyah Hernandez, Bethany Steiner and Olivia Shattuck are all entered.
