MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo. – Syracuse rallied from a third-period deficit to get the win against Lindenwood, 2-1 in overtime, at Centene Community Ice Center Friday night.
Syracuse (6-6-0) had some help from its freshmen to overpower the Lady Lions late in the game. Emma Gnade scored the equalizer following a Lindenwood score and Jordan Blouin scored the game-winner in overtime. Freshman Ava Drabyk had 22 saves in goal.
Lindenwood (2-11-0) took a late third-period lead on Michaela Paulinyova's unassisted goal but couldn't hold on. Lexington Secreto made 35 saves in the effort for the Lady Lions.

How it Happened
- Both teams had an equal number of shots through the first period with nine, but neither side lit the lamp to start the scoring.
- The game remained scoreless through the second period, despite the Orange outshooting the Lady Lions 18-6.
- Paulinyova broke the scoreless tie with the only goal of the day for Lindenwood, 12:22 into the third period.
- Syracuse quickly responded 17 seconds later at 12:39 in the third with a goal by Gnade, assisted by Stella Costabile and Sami Gendron, to tie the game and force overtime.
- While in overtime on a Syracuse power play, Blouin capitalized at 1:04 with an unassisted goal to give the Orange the 2-1 victory.
