
Ava Drabyk Named to All-AHA Rookie Team

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Freshman goaltender Ava Drabyk has been named by Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) to the All-AHA Rookie Team. The league office announced its award winners on Wednesday afternoon.
Drabyk, a Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, native, had earned five AHA weekly awards over the course of the season. She was honored as Rookie of the Week twice and Goaltender of the Week three times. Drabyk led all AHA goaltenders in saves with 926 while playing in 34 games. The freshman netminder was also third in the AHA in goals-against average (2.38) and save percentage (.922). Over the course of the season Drabyk tallied five shutouts, third most in a single Syracuse season.
The All-AHA Honors were voted on by head coaches and up to two full-time assistants at each institution.Â
