
'Cuse Falls to Lindenwood in Weekend Split

MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo. – Syracuse University Women's Ice Hockey team could not complete the weekend sweep as Lindenwood scored three unanswered goals to defeat the Orange 4-1 Saturday afternoon at Centene Community Ice Center.
Syracuse (6-7-0) took the early lead over the Lions on a Charlotte Hallett goal in the first but was unable to find the back of the net for the remainder of the game. Ava Drabyk had 30 saves in goal for the Orange.
Lindenwood (2-12-0) was led by Tatiana Blichova who had two goals and an assist in the match as well as Michaela Paulinyova with a goal and two assists for the Lions. Madison Bowtell finished the game with 26 saves.

How it Happened
- Hallett struck early for 'Cuse 4:08 into the first scoring a goal on a breakaway following passes from Jocelyn Fiala and Nea Tervonen.
- Lindenwood retaliated on a power play 17:03 in the first on a Hannah Dods rebound goal from a Paulinyova shot to tie the game at 1-1 going into the second period.
- The Lady Lions would tack on two more points on goals from Paulinyova at 0:15 and Tatiana Blichova at 16:01 in the second to give Lindenwood a lead going into the third.
- Blichova would then tack on her second goal of the day and the fourth for the Lions on an empty netter at 17:12 in the third to secure the win for Lindenwood.

- Makenna Williment led Syracuse in the faceoff circle going 11-4.
- Jessica Chueng led with four blocks on the afternoon.
