
'Cuse Closes Weekend with 2 Meets

'Cuse wrapped up its weekend on the track at the Bruce Lehane Invitational at Boston University and the Kane Invitational at Cornell.
In Boston, a pair of 'Cuse hurdlers turned in third-place finishes. Shaleah Colaire (8.76) took bronze in the women's 60-meter hurdles and was second among collegians. Andrew Aguilera crossed the line in 8.35 seconds for his finish.
Dasia Pressley also turned in a third-place finish in a season-best time. She crossed the line in the 200-meter dash in 23.96. Teammate Aja Davis finished in 24.76, which was good for 11th. Jordan Davenport finished in the top-10 for the men with a time of 22.01 seconds.
Four Orange finished in the top-five, including a podium sweep in the men's mile. Stephen Schulz (4:16.06) won the event, followed by Matthew Scrape (4:17.59) and Nathan Lawler (4:18.08) in second and third. Silas Defel (4:19.10) finished fifth, while Dominic Hockenbury (4:26.94) placed eighth.
The Orange picked up the win in the women's mile as well, as Abigail Spiers won the event by nearly a full 10 seconds, crossing the line in 5:05.53. Abigail Walsh (5:26.62) and Keiana Mitchell (5:28.51) finished sixth and seventh, respectively. Kelsey Potts (5:28.92) finished ninth.
Kate Kemnitz won the women's 3000-meter run in 10:30.44. Teammates Maggie Tocko and Eva Scott also turned in top-10 finishes, placing eighth and ninth. Elizabeth Cultra finished in 14th.
Freshman Connor Preston finished fourth in the men's 1,000-meter run and classmate Matthew Dragon took 10th in the 3k.
In the women's 800-meter run Bearett Tarris finished in seventh, followed by Sarah Eddy in eighth.
The Orange are back in action in two weeks at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational and the Husky Classic.
