2003: Finished as the team's seventh-leading scorer with a career-high 24 points (20 goals)...missed the final four games of the season after he sustained a jaw injury in the first quarter of the Massachusetts game...at the time of his injury, Vallone was tied for third on the team in scoring...recorded career-highs in goals (five against Hobart), assists (two against Fairfield) and points (five against Hobart)...had a four-goal game against Princeton during the regular season...tallied four points (two goals, two assists) against Fairfield...posted two-goal games against Army, Loyola and Hofstra...named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll both semesters.
2002: Played in all 17 games…made 11 of his 29 shots (.379) and picked up seven groundballs…had two goals versus Army, UMass and at Cornell…named to the Fall and Spring Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.
2001: One of four freshmen to play in all 16 games...scored SU’s fourth goal in the first quarter of the national semifinal game against Notre Dame...attempted two shots against Hofstra in the quarterfinals...scored his first collegiate goal against Princeton at the Carrier Dome...named to the Fall and Spring Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.
High School: Three-year varsity letterwinner...was the top scorer in Section IV in 2000 with 59 goals and 28 assists...recovered 80 groundballs as a senior...sent the 1999 Corning East team to the state championship contest by scoring the game-winning overtime goal in the state semifinals...totaled 129 career goals and 69 assists during his career...named all-section and all-league...member of the Empire State Games team...selected as an Academic All-American in 2000...chosen as a North/South All-Star in 2000...voted team MVP.
Personal: Son of Anthony and MaryLou Vallone...born June 22, 1982...has three older brothers who each played college lacrosse at Bucknell, Penn State and RIT...his mother received her master’s degree in nursing from SU...his father earned his master’s degree in business administration from Syracuse...majoring in marketing management and finance.
