Orange Alums Go for Gold at World Lacrosse Women's Championship

The Women's Lacrosse World Championship is reaching its finale and the gold medal game between the United States of America and Canada will feature a number of Orange alums.
Representing the Stars and Stripes on the field are Emma Muchnick '26 and Katie Goodale '24 while Kayla Treanor '16 will be on the sidelines as an assistant coach. Current strength and conditioning coach Mike Sullivan is also in Tokyo, serving in the same capacity for Team USA. Canada will be represented by Maddy Baxter '24 and Bianca Chevarie '23.
The championship game will be preceded by the bronze medal game, which features the Haudenosaunee National Team facing off with Team Israel. This marks the first bronze medal game appearance for both Israel and the Haudenosaunee National Team. Jalyn Jimerson '22, Alie Jimerson '18 and Sierra Cockerille '22 will all represent the Haudenosaunee while Shira Parower '25 will play for Israel.
The bronze medal game will start at 3 a.m. (EDT) / 4 p.m. (JST) with the Gold Medal contest to follow at 6 a.m. (EDT) / 7 p.m. (JST) on Sunday, August 2. Fans can stream the games for free on World Lacrosse TV.
