Box Score Highlights

Despite nearly a dozen saves from senior goalkeeper Jessie Eiselin, including seven in the first half, No. 9 Syracuse University field hockey fell 2-0 at No. 3 Duke Friday afternoon at Williams Field at Jack Katz Stadium in Durham, North Carolina.

Syracuse (6-3, 1-2 ACC) got a 10-save performance from Jessie Eiselin, who went the full 60 minutes in goal. She kept the Blue Devils off the board through the first half despite facing seven shots on goal in the opening 30 minutes. Freshman Jovie Weaver led the Orange with two shots on goal off the bench. The Orange were held without a goal for the first time this season.

Duke (8-2, 4-0 ACC) broke through on a penalty corner early in the third quarter. Beach converted off an Alaina McVeigh insert for her first goal of the season. Wozniak added an unassisted goal, her third of the year, early in the fourth quarter. Kaiya Chepow made two saves to post Duke's sixth shutout of the season.
