Orange Ranked #9 in IRCA/IRA Poll

Syracuse men's rowing season gets underway this weekend and the Orange will carry a top-10 ranking into the season opener. 'Cuse checked in at No. 9 in the Week 1 IRCA/IRA Coaches Varsity 8 Poll on Wednesday afternoon. Syracuse was ranked No. 7 in the preseason poll both as yet to race this spring while other crews have already raced.Â
The Orange varsity eight will line up with No. 3 Brown and No. 8 Stanford this weekend in Redwood Shores, Calif. as well as California Rowing Club, one of the nations top training clubs. Syracuse is sending two eights out to the West Coast to begin the season. Fans can follow live results on herenow.com or watch the live stream (paid subscription) of the races.
Syracuse has reached the Grand Final of the IRA Championship in each of the last four seasons and is poised for another strong spring season.Â
