SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse softball team (19-8, 1-5 ACC) welcome the Clemson Tigers (21-9, 3-3 ACC) for a three-game ACC series at Skytop Softball Stadum from Friday, March 21 through Sunday, March 23.
The series begins Friday, March 21 with a 3 p.m. first pitch. Game two will be hosted on Saturday, March 22 at 1 p.m., followed by Sunday's game three matchup at 12 p.m. All games will air live on ACC Network Extra.
ORANGE UPDATE:
Syracuse is coming off a successful home-opening doubleheader against Niagara, claiming 7-6 and 15-0 wins over the Purple Eagles. The game-two win was the Orange's largest margin of victory this season.
In game one, the Purple Eagles held a 6-3 lead heading into the bottom of the seventh, but the Orange rallied with a four-run final frame to secure the win. Syracuse loaded the bases with its first three batters before Kayla Sigala delivered a two-run double to right field. Tessa Galipeau then sealed the comeback with a two-run hit, lifting the Orange to a 7-6 victory.
In game two, Syracuse's offense came out strong, highlighted by a five-run fifth inning, and never looked back, scoring 15 runs—matching its season high. Jadyn Burney led the charge with a career-high three RBIs on three hits, marking her first multi-RBI game. Galipeau and Madelyn Lopez also contributed with two hits each in the victory.
SCOUTING THE TIGERS:
Clemson enters Friday's game with a 21-9 overall record and a 3-3 mark in ACC play. The Tigers are riding a two-game win streak after a dominant 14-1, five-inning win over Fordham on March 19. In their most recent ACC series, Clemson took two of three games from North Carolina, capped by a 10-2, six-inning victory in game three.
Senior second baseman Maddie Moore is having a standout season for Clemson, batting .481 (39-for-81) through 25 games. She was named ACC Player of the Week on March 11 after hitting .563 with nine hits, including two home runs, over six games from March 4-9.
Senior pitcher Reese Basinger has led the Tigers in the circle, making 19 appearances and 11 starts. She holds a 2.24 ERA, allowing 64 hits over 78 innings while striking out 65.
SERIES HISTORY AGAINST CLEMSON:
Clemson leads the all-time series against Syracuse, winning nine of the 10 matchups. The Tigers' last loss to the Orange came on May 8, 2021, in a 7-6 defeat.
Clemson visited Central New York last season and swept the Orange, with two of the wins coming via run rule. However, Syracuse's lone victory in the series came at Skytop Softball Stadium.

Syracuse stays close to home, traveling to Le Moyne for a doubleheader on Wednesday, March 26. The first game is set for 3 p.m. at the Dolphins' newly constructed Softball Complex, with the second game to follow at 5 p.m.
