SYRACUSE, New York --Â No. 6 Syracuse women's lacrosse is back at home in the JMA Wireless Dome on Tuesday, Feb. 25 when it welcomes No. 3 Northwestern. Opening draw is set for 3:30 p.m. Tuesday's game is an Orange Out in the JMA Dome.

TAKING ON THE BEST
Syracuse continues to face one of the toughest schedules in the nation. Overall, 11 of the Orange's 2025 opponents are ranked in this week's top 25, including seven of the top 10. Tuesday's game is Syracuse's second against an opponent ranked in the top three in a span of four days.

ORANGE UPDATE
The Orange (3-1) had their three-game winning streak snapped in a 16-8 loss at No. 2 North Carolina last Saturday. Emma Ward led Syracuse with four points (2g, 2a), while Molly Guzik and Alexa Vogelman had two goals apiece.

Goalkeeper Daniella Guyette has reached double figures in saves in three-straight games. She recorded her first 10+ save performance at Maryland when she made 11 stops. Guyette improved on that performance with 14 saves against Cornell. She made a career-high 16 saves last Saturday at North Carolina. Guyette ranks 18th in the nation in save percentage (.518). She also leads the ACC and is 10th nationally in saves per game (11.0).

SCOUTING THE WILDCATS
No. 3 Northwestern (4-1) continued its dominant start to the 2025 season with a 20-5 victory over No. 25 Colorado at Ryan Fieldhouse last Friday. Junior Madison Taylor leads the Wildcats with 35 points on 26 goals and nine assists. Niki Miles has 15 points this season, including a team-best 10 assists.

SERIES HISTORY
Tuesday's game will be the 26th all-time meeting with Northwestern. The Wildcats lead the all-time series, 18-7, but the Orange have a 5-4 advantage in the Dome.

Syracuse battled Northwestern on the road in Evanston for their season opener last February. Northwestern jumped out to an early lead and led 8-2 at the end of the first quarter. The Wildcats maintained the lead and headed into the fourth quarter with a 15-10 advantage. Syracuse fought back in the final quarter, opening the final 15 minutes with four unanswered goals to cut the deficit to 15-14 with 8:16 remaining. Northwestern responded with three-straight goals and went on to an 18-15 victory.
