
Orange Set Four More PRs and a Sub-4 Minute Mile

After five women set personal bests in Boston on Friday, the men added three more on Saturday at the John Thomas Terrier Classic, including another sub-four minute mile, and Peyton Rollins added to the total from the Bob Pollock Invitational.
Benne Anderson added another to the list of sub-four minute miles at Syracuse, a club he was already in, setting a new personal-best time of 3:56.85 in Boston. He finished 18th (ninth among collegiate competitors) in a field of nearly 300 entrants.
Anderson led nine Orange runners in the field. Behind him, Ben Gabelman (4:01.10) and Sam Lawler (4:02.59) turned in top-50 finishes. Asher Danielson (4:07.68), Solomon Holden-Betts (4:09.70), Ruben Rojas Betanzos (4:10.78), Julian Franjieh (4:12.49), Gabriel Planty (4:13.86) and Drew Zundell (4:16.76) also raced. Planty's time was a personal best and Rojas Betanzos was under four tenths of a second off his all-time best. The rest of the field competed in their first collegiate mile.
Assaf Harari added to the personal-bests in the 3,000-meter run. He shaved four seconds off his previous best, crossing the line in 7:58.69. Connor Ackley wasn't far behind in 8:02.45. Sam Ricchuiti (8:11.84), Â Ethan Wechsler (8:24.38), Connell Alford (8:28.41) and Omar Asaldi (8:30.42) also competed.
At Clemson, Rollins set a new PR in the 200-meter dash, finishing with a time of 24.89 seconds. In the men's event, Elijah Mallard raced to a time of 21.54 seconds in an 18th-place finish.
The Orange are back in Boston next week for the Harvard Crimson Elite on Friday.
