Orange Compete at Paul Short Run

Freshman Selma Anderson won the open race of the Paul Short Run, highlighting the Orange's performance at the 50th edition of the event.
Anderson crossed the line in 21:02.9, 12 seconds ahead of her competition, over the 6k course.
In the Gold race, Baneet Bains (20:58.2) was the Orange's top finisher, taking 42nd. Sarah Lawson (21:06.1) was next in 65th, followed by Justus Holden-Betts (21:26.1) in 102nd, Bethany Steiner (21:31.3/113th) and Caroline Kirby (22:02.5/189th) as the team's top-five finishers.
Leah Futey (21:13.9), Lauren Augustyn (22:25.2), Olivia Shattuck (22:25.6) and Sarah Cobb (22:27.6) rounded out the women's field.
The men's team was led by Kamari Miller (24:38.7), who finished the 8k course in 83rd place. Julian Franjieh (25:04.9), Solomon Holden-Betts (25:32.1), Patrick Malon (26:03.9), Joey Hendershot (26:04.8) and Gabriel Planty (26:15.0) also raced for 'Cuse.
The Orange will be back in action on Friday, Oct. 18 when some members of the team head to New Jersey for the Princeton Fall Classic. Others will compete the following day at the Pre-Nationals event hosted by Wisconsin.
