ORANGE CONCLUDE ROAD SWING AT PITT
• Syracuse plays the last of three-straight road games at Pittsburgh on Thursday night.
• The game will air on ESPN, with Matt Barrie (PxP), Dan Mullen (analyst) and Harry Lyles Jr. (reporter) on the call.

MCCORD RISING
• QB Kyle McCord is already putting his name in the Syracuse record book six games into his 'Cuse career.
• He recorded a career-high 385 yards passing against Holy Cross to become the first Orange quarterback to throw for 300 yards in four-straight games. He extended the streak to six with 346 yards at NC State to tie Ryan Nassib (2012) for the most 300-yard passing games in a season by a 'Cuse quarterback.
• McCord ranks second in the nation in passing yards per game, averaging 360.0 per contest. In addition, he leads the nation in completions per game (30.83).
• McCord is just the third 'Cuse quarterback to record six or more 300-yard passing performances in his career. Eric Dungey holds the school career record for 300-yard passing games (12).
• McCord's 2,160 yards passing is the highest total for a 'Cuse quarterback through the first six games of a season in program history.

THURSDAY NIGHT LIGHTS
• Syracuse will play a Thursday regular-season game for the second-straight year and a weeknight game for the third time this season.
• The Orange are 18-12 (.600) in it's last 30 weeknight games.

ON THE ROAD AGAIN
• Saturday's game is the third of three-straight road contests for the Orange. Syracuse is in a 35-day stretch without a game played in the JMA Dome.
• It marks the second-straight year that Syracuse will not play a home game in October and go 30+ days between home games.
• Prior to the 2023 season, the last time the Orange did have a home game in the month of October was in 2008 when two byes and two road games accounted for the stretch.

SERIES HISTORY
• Thursday's game will be the 80th meeting between Syracuse and Pittsburgh.
• The Panthers lead the all-time series, 43-33-3.
• The series dates back to 1916, and the Orange notched their first win against Pitt in 1919. The Panthers recorded an 11-game winning streak from 1973-1983, to which Syracuse responded by going 16-1-1 from 1984-2001. The Orange's 79 matchups vs. Pittsburgh are their most against any opponent.

SPREAD OFFENSE
• Syracuse is the only school in the nation that has three players who are averaging 70.0 yards or more receiving per game this season.
• WR Jackson Meeks leads the way with 76.5 ypg, and WR Trebor Pena is right behind with 76.3 ypg. TE Oronde Gadsden II Jr. is averaging 72.2 ypg.

A WIN WOULD …
• Make the Orange bowl eligible for the third-consecutive year for the first time since Syracuse played in five-straight bowls from 1995-99.
• Give the Orange a 3-1 record in league play, which would tie the 2022 mark for the best start to ACC play since joining the league in 2013.
• Give the Orange three ranked wins for the first time since 1998.
• Give Syracuse multiple ranked road wins for the first time since 1992.
• Give Syracuse three-consecutive road wins in true road games for the first time since 2010.
• Snap a 10-game losing streak at Pittsburgh, dating back to 2001.
• Improve head coach Fran Brown's record to 6-1, which would be the best record for a first-year 'Cuse head coach through seven games since 1946.
• Give Syracuse its 760th all-time victory (includes 11 wins from 2004-06 that were vacated by the NCAA). The Orange currently rank 21st on the FBS ledger of winningest programs. Syracuse is one of 34 FBS schools to have accumulated 700+ wins.
