Sophomore Season (2022): The start of Machten's sophomore campaign was delayed by her participation in the the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Costa Rica ... She played for the German National Team ... She returned to the 'Cuse and made her first 2022 appearance against UCONN ... She had two shots in the loss ... Machtens scored in Syracuse's 4-1 victory against LAFAYETTE ... She was in the starting lineup when the Orange hosted SIENA and finished with three shots ... Machtens played a season-high 46 minutes versus MERRIMACK ... She started consecutive ACC outings with #2 VIRGINIA and CLEMSON, both which resulted in draws ... Machtens assisted on the game-tying goal at VIRGINIA ...
