#9 Syracuse Men's Rowing Set for Princeton Invite
4/9/2026 12:29:00 PM | Men's Rowing
The Syracuse men's rowing team will travel to Princeton, N.J. this weekend to compete in the Princeton Invite, one of the premier early-season regattas on the collegiate rowing calendar. Racing will take place on Carnegie Lake, with Syracuse squaring off against a field that includes some of the nation's top programs in its first races of the season.
The Orange will face a challenging slate of competition, going up against the likes of #2 Cal, #5 Brown, #10 Penn and #11 Yale, across multiple events throughout the day. The field represents a who's who of collegiate rowing, giving Syracuse a valuable opportunity to measure itself against elite competition as the season progresses toward championship racing.
Syracuse is slated to compete across five varsity events — the 1V, 2V, 3V, and 4V — giving the Orange a chance to showcase depth throughout the program. Head coach Dave Reischman's crews will be tested early and often, with racing beginning in the morning and continuing into the afternoon following a midday break. Racing is scheduled to begin at 8:24 a.m. at Carnegie Lake in Princeton, N.J.
Saturday's racing will give the Orange a clear sense of where they stand in their first weekend of competition this spring. Syracuse will look to carry momentum into the following weekend and put together a strong collective performance across all boats at the Goes Trophy race on April 18 in Ithaca, NY versus Cornell and Navy.
