Syracuse Alum Emmie Frederico Selected for World Rowing Cup I

Syracuse University women's rowing alumna Emmie Frederico '24 has been selected to represent Australia at the 2-25 World Rowing Cup I in Varese, Italy, June 13-15.
Frederico will race in the women's pair (bow seat) and 7-seat of the women's eight for Australia. No stranger to the international stage, she previously won a gold medal for Australia in the women's coxed four at the 2022 U23 World Championships.
She was a CRCA Second Team All-American in 2024 and an All-ACC First Team honoree after leading the Orange to its first ACC Championship in program history. She sat stroke seat of the varsity eight that placed eighth in the NCAA Championship which matched the second-best finish for the V8 in program history.
Racing begins Friday, June 13 with preliminary heats. Frederico will race in Heat 3 of the women's pair against Netherlands 2, Australia's second pair, Czech Republic and Germany at 4:34 a.m. Her women's eight heat will be at 9:59 a.m. against Italy, USA, Germany, Great Britain and China.Â
