Ustiuzhanina Named to ACC Rowing Watch List

Graduate student Kateryna Ustiuzhanina was named to the 2026 Preseasons ACC Rowing Watch List, the conference announced Wednesday afternoon. Each ACC team had one honoree on the list.

Ustiuzhanina is in her first year with the Orange after having spent the 2023 through 2025 seasons at the University of Kansas. She was also a member of the Ukrainian National Team and won a European Rowing Championship gold medal.

While at Kansas, Ustiuzhanina was an impactful freshman in 2023-24, winning Big 12 Newcomer of the Year, All-Big 12 honors and was an All-American Honorable Mention. In her junior season, she helped the Jayhawks second varsity eight to a third place finish at the Big 12 Championship.

Ustiuzhanina and the Orange will get their season underway in just over a month when they travel to Cherry Hill, New Jersey to take part in the Doc Hosea Invitational on March 28.
