
Orange Place 12th at NCAA Championship

WEST WINDSOR, New Jersey – Syracuse finished 12th at the 2025 NCAA Women's Rowing Championship that concluded Sunday at Lake Mercer. The Orange recorded 67 points.
The varsity four finished second in the petite final to claim eighth place, which matches the varsity eight's finish from 2024. California won the petite final with a time of 7:06.197, followed by Syracuse in 7:10.499.
The varsity eight started the day for the Orange by winning the C level final with a time of 6:20.367 to claim 13th place. 'Cuse crossed the finish line more than two seconds ahead of second-place finisher Harvard (6:22.937).
The second varsity eight claimed 12th place by finishing sixth in the petite final (6:32.632), which was won by Tennessee with a time of 6:24.586. The 12th-place finish equals the second-best finish for the second varsity eight in program history.
Stanford won the team title with 129 points. The ACC had four teams finish in the top 15. Joining the Cardinal and Orange were California and Virginia, which tied for ninth place with 79 points each.
Syracuse made its 12th NCAA Championship appearance and its fifth in a row, extending the program's best-ever streak. The Orange have now earned a spot in eight of the last nine NCAA Championships.
