
3 More Earn All-Conference at ACC Track Championships

Iaunia Pointer, Xayvion Perkins and Emanuel Joseph all earned All-ACC honors in their respective events on the final day of competition at the ACC Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
The group joined Julian Franjieh, Sam Lawler, Assaf Harari and Emma Eastman, who collected the accolades over the opening two days, to bring the Orange total to seven.
Perkins came away with a new personal best in the 400-meter hurdles (50.91 seconds), to finish fifth overall in the event, while Iaunia Pointer posted a season-best time of 23.09 seconds in the 200-meter dash to also earn fifth.
Emanuel Joesph became the latest in a long line of all-conference performers in the 110-meter hurdles at Syracuse. He finished sixth with a time of 13.89 seconds.
Sam Ricchiuti was the other individual runner who competed on Saturday, finishing 22nd in the 5k after crossing the line in 14:35.23.
Malachi James qualified for the finals of the 100-meter dash, but did not start in the final.
The Orange also had a pair of relay squads race. The women's 4x100-meter relay team posted a season-best time of 45.43 seconds, earning ninth. The men finished 10th in 41.52 seconds.
The NCAA East Prelims are up next in two weeks.
