Benne Anderson finished ninth in the final of the men's mile at Saturday's NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships.
Anderson's finish earns him All-America honors. The sophomore stayed tight to the lead for much of the race, which was ultimately stretched out over the final lap of the event. He finished in 3:57.63. Georgetown's Abel Teffra won the title in a meet and facility record time of 3:53.60.
Anderson was one-of-two underclassmen to qualify for Saturday's final, alongside Colorado's Isaiah Givens, a fellow sophomore.
The race concludes indoor season for the Orange. Outdoor season begins next weekend at the USF Alumni Invitational.
