
Orange Conclude Regular Season at Cornell

The Syracuse track and field teams concluded the regular season on Saturday at the Marc Deneault Invitational.
'Cuse took the top-two spots in the mile, led by Caroline Kirby in 5:06.14. Teammate Leah Futey was next in 5:09.83. Lucy Zombek was 16th in 5:52.78, while Kayla Harding (6:08.54) was 20th in a new personal-best time.
Marissa Saunders (8.95 seconds) was runner-up in the 60-meter hurdles. Kirstyn Schechter took fourth in 9.34 seconds, followed by Olivia Etienvre (9.36 seconds) in fifth.
Olivia Garner took second in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.67 seconds. Saunders took 14th in 8.12 seconds.
Shayla Ford placed second in the 400-meter dash, crossing the line in 1:01.40. Mia Hernandez was ninth, with a time of 1:04.58.
Nyah Hernandez was the top Orange finisher in the 3,000-meter run (10:05.74), placing fourth. Rylie Lusk, competing unattached, won the event in 9:44.86. Justus Holden-Betts (10:03.92) was second, also unattached. Bethany Steiner (10:06.75) and Lauren Augustyn (10:20.82) were fifth and sixth, respectively.
Mia Dubrovsky was fifth in the 600-meter run, posting a time of 1:52.36.
In the 800, Lizzie Bigelow led the way in seventh (2:24.09), followed two spots back by Blake Parker (2:31.01). Emily Rutkowski placed 10th in 2:31.93.
The ACC Championships are next for the Orange, beginning on Saturday.
