MCCORD RISING
• QB Kyle McCord is on the brink of setting the Syracuse record for passing yards in a single season.
• McCord has thrown for 3,476 yards through 10 games. That total ranks second on the 'Cuse single-season record list behind Ryan Nassib's 3,749 yards in 2012.
• He completed 29-of-46 passes against California. McCord now has 304 completions this season, which is a new school record, bettering Nassib's total of 294 in 2012.
• The senior is also on pace to set the single-season record for most passing yards per game. He is averaging 347.6, which would surpass the current record of 297.7 set by Eric Dungey in 2016. That total would also tie for second on the ACC single-season record list.
• McCord has thrown for 300 yards in nine games this season, which is a single-season school record.
• McCord is just the second 'Cuse quarterback to record eight or more 300-yard passing performances in his career. Eric Dungey holds the school career record for 300-yard passing games (12).
ALLEN TO THE HOUSE
• RB LeQuint Allen Jr. has scored a team-high 14 touchdowns this season. That total ranks 12th nationally and second in the ACC.
• After scoring just two touchdowns in the first four games, Allen started heating up when the calendar turned to October. He has scored multiple touchdowns four times this season, including the past three games.
• Allen ranks fourth in the ACC and 22nd in the nation in rushing touchdowns in 2024 with 11.
BROWN ERA OFF TO FAST START
• Head coach Fran Brown is putting together one of the most successful campaigns for a first-year Syracuse head coach in program history.
• In the modern era (since World War II), Brown will be just the third 'Cuse head coach to lead the Orange to a bowl game in his first season, joining Paul Pasqualoni (1991) and Scott Shafer (2013). In addition, Brown will be just the second first-year head coach to lead Syracuse to a winning record during the regular season. Pasqualoni's 1991 team was 9-2.
