Syracuse's Erin Flurey scored less than two minutes into the contest but Boston College responded with three unanswered goals and the result was an Eagle victory, 3-1, in Newton, Mass. The Orange (6-10-2, 0-9-1) and Boston College (12-5-2, 4-4-2) completed their respective regular seasons.
Flurey Finds The Net Early
Flurey put the Orange on the board first. After taking a pass from Kate Murphy, Flurey attacked the Eagle goal and drilled a shot into the back of the net. It was Flurey's fifth goal and Murphy's second assist of the campaign.
Boston College Retaliates
The host Eagles answered 10 minutes after Flurey's tally. Aislin Streicek scored after Emily Sapienza and Ella Richards teamed up to find her in the box. Boston College took the lead for the first time at 29:36 of the first half after Paige Peltier fed Baylor Goldthwaite, who connected with the bottom right of the net.
Eagles Strengthen Advantage
Both squads had scoring changes after the intermission. Boston College bolstered its margin when Ella Richards blasted a shot in off the crossbar. Bella Douglas earned an assist.
