SYRACUSE, N.Y. – No. 7 Syracuse returns to SU Soccer Stadium to play Pittsburgh on Friday at 7 p.m. (ACC Network Extra).
The Orange are giving away championship scarfs and will hold a celebration honoring the 2022 College Cup at halftime with alumni. Photo opportunities with the trophies will also be available to fans.
Fans are also encouraged to download the Syracuse Orange app to participate in the Syracuse Light Show prior to the start of the second half.
'Cuse Update
Syracuse's unbeaten streak ended at 20 matches on Tuesday when Cornell defeated the Orange, 2-1.

Graduate student Felipe D'Agostini opened the scoring in the match, converting on sophomore Nicholas Kaloukian's pass at 38:03.

The Big Red leveled the match at one at the 51:51 mark when Alex Harris sent a Kisa Kiingi pass past a diving Jason Smith.

Harris tacked on his second goal of the contest at 76:28 for the game winner.

Cornell outshot 'Cuse, 18-4, while the Orange held the advantage in corner kicks (7-2).

Scouting the Panthers
Jay Vidovich is in his eighth season at the helm of the Pittsburgh men's soccer program. The Panthers have posted a 3-2-2 record through its first seven matches in 2023. Pitt most recently defeated Fairleigh Dickinson, 5-1, at home on Monday, extending its record to 3-1-1 on the year at Ambrose Urbanic Field.

Luis Sahmkow recorded a hat trick against the Knights, while Filip Mirkovic assisted on four of the goals in the win. Sahmkow leads the Panthers in scoring with five goals and is a perfect three-for-three in penalty kick attempts. In goal, Cabral Carter has posted two clean sheets and has made seven stops in 180 minutes of conference action.

Friday's match will be the 36th all-time meeting between Syracuse and Pittsburgh. The Panthers lead the series, 19-11-5.
