2004: Had a team-leading 62 groundballs, the third consecutive season he led the team in this statistical category … recovered nine groundballs against Notre Dame … snagged seven groundballs in two games, at Princeton and at Brown … had 13 groundballs throughout the playoffs ... dove and threw a check on a Navy player that altered his shot that could have potentially tied the championship game in the waning moments … tallied an assist in the title game … amassed seven points on five assists for the season … played soccer in the fall.
2003 Lacrosse Season: Led the team for the second-straight season in groundballs with 78...played in all 16 games...10th on the team in scoring with eight points (five goals, three assists)...scored goals against Virginia, Hobart, Cornell, Rutgers and in the NCAA semifinals against Johns Hopkins...had a season-high two points (one goal, one assist) in a win at Hobart...used on the wing for faceoffs because of his speed and toughness.
2002 Soccer Season: Earned All-BIG EAST Second Team honors and was selected to the NSCAA/Adidas All-New York Region Second Team...led the Orange men in scoring with eight goals and five assists for 21 points.
2002 Lacrosse Season: Finished first on the team in groundballs with 91…finished 23rd in the nation in groundballs per game (5.35)…was eighth on the team in scoring with 14 points (nine goals, five assists)…scored his first collegiate goal at Princeton...it was the game-winner…scored the first goal against Princeton in the NCAA finals…scored a career-high three points in the overtime win at Brown…played in all 17 games…named to the Fall 2001 Athletic Director's Honor Roll.
2001 Soccer Season: Voted the BIG EAST Men's Soccer Rookie of the Year...led the team, conference and nation with 14 assists...named National Freshman of the Year by Soccer America.
High School: Coached in lacrosse by Rick Cote at Christian Brothers Academy...as a senior, he scored 132 points on 98 goals and 34 assists...holds the school record for most goals in a game (10)...totaled 321 career points on 241 goals and 80 assists...played in the Empire State Games, the Section III Exceptional Senior All-Star game and the U.S. Lacrosse National High School Senior All-Star game...selected as the 2001 CNY Lacrosse Player of the Year...earned All-America honors in soccer and lacrosse.
Personal: Son of Janet and Jeffrey Park...born October 25, 1982 in Winfield, Ill. ...has one older brother...his father played lacrosse and football for Army...his grandfather, Everett Park, played soccer and lacrosse at Syracuse from 1946-47...his great-uncle, Henry Merz, played football for the Orange men in the 1930's...majoring in bioengineering.
