Sophomore Year (2009): Against Minnesota, returned five kickoffs for 154 yards, including one for 79 yards to start Syracuse’s second drive of the game … At Penn State, returned five kickoffs for 144 yards … Against Northwestern, returned six kickoffs for 128 yards, caught one pass for 14 yards and gained 25 yards on two carries … Against Maine, returned one punt for 14 yards and two kickoffs for 38 yards, and had one catch for five yards … Against South Florida, returned six kickoffs for 120 yards and had two carries ... Against West Virginia, had four kick returns for 97 yards... Against Akron, had one kick return for 23 yards and had two carries for 29 yards... Against Cincinnati, averaged 27.4 yards per return on five returns... At Pittsburgh, had four returns and averaged 17.7 yards per return...At Louisville, he averaged 25.0 yards on three returns and had two catches for two yards...Ranks fifth in the BIG EAST with a 24.1 kickoff return average, which ties for eighth on SU’s single-season record list (see chart on right) … His 987 kick return yards and his 41 returns rank second on the Orange single-season record lists ... Missed the last two games of the season due to surgery to repair a tear in his left hip flexor muscle.
