RJ Licata officially joined the Orange football program in 2005, serving as a graduate assistant for video operations until 2007 when he was hired full-time as Assistant Video Coordinator. In 2012 he moved into his current role as Director of New Media and Web Strategy. Licata is responsible for the day-to-day management and long-term planning of the program's social media efforts as well as management of the official team website. Additionally, he helps to coordinate photo shoots, produce videos highlighting the program and design graphics for both internal and external use.
In 2004 Licata worked as a full-time intern with the Syracuse football Video Department, completing his undergraduate degree in Sport Management from SUNY Cortland. In 2007 he earned his Master's degree in Instructional Design, Development and Evaluation from Syracuse University's School of Educaton.
A native of Syracuse, Licata and his wife, Danielle, live in East Syracuse with their son, Joseph and daughter Gianna.
