Alvah Hansbro spent two years with the Orange football program as the defensive quality control coach.  Â

Previously, Hansbro served as the defensive backs coach at Glenville State College in 2012 and 2013.

Duing his time at Glenville State, the Pioneers led Division II in passes defended (2013) and he coached three defensive backs who were two-time All-Mountain East Conference selections and mentored one All-American.

Before heading to Glenville State, Hansbro coached defensive backs at the University of Dubuque in 2009, was the defensive coordinator for the Edgewood High School varsity team from 2007-09 and also worked at Edgewood again in 2011. In addition, Hansbro was a student coach at his alma mater, Northern Illinois, in 2006.

Hansbro played for the Huskies from 2002-05 where he started at cornerback for three seasons, two of which were for Orange head coach Scott Shafer who was then the defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach. Hansbro led the secondary with 68 tackles as a junior in 2005.

Hansbro received his bachelor’s degree in organizational and corporate communication from Northern Illinois in 2006.
