After a thrilling comeback victory against UConn, the Syracuse football team is back in action Friday night, hosting Colgate.
1. Central New York Series Renewed
Syracuse has faced Colgate 68 times prior to Friday's contest, making the Raiders the Orange's third-most frequent opponent. Three of 'Cuse's five-most frequent opponents in program history will visit the JMA Wireless Dome this season, with Pitt (80) and Boston College (58) also on the home.
The Colgate series dates back to 1891. The Orange hold a 32-31-5 all-time series lead, after taking the last-17 matchups between the two programs.
2. Be There and Be Loud!
Tickets are still available for Friday's game at Cuse.com/FootballTickets. Season tickets also remain on sale. Don't miss a minute in the Loud House and help the Orange continue their home success.
Since head coach Fran Brown's arrival, Syracuse is 7-1 when playing in the JMA Wireless Dome.
3. Friday Night Lights
Syracuse has traditionally performed well in Friday night affairs, winning nine of their last-14 Friday games. The stretch includes its highest-ranked victory in recent years, when they defeated No. 2 Clemson in 2017 and bowl victories in the 2018 Camping World Bowl and 2024 DIRECTV Holiday Bowl.
The Orange have two Friday night home games this season, hosting North Carolina on Halloween.

'Cuse on the Quad opens at 4 p.m., with the NYE Auto Quad walk to follow at approximately 4:45 – however fans will want to arrive before that to ensure their spot along the route and beat the team there. Each game will have a collectible NYE Auto Quad Walk game pin this season and will be distributed beginning at 9 a.m. in front of Hendrick's Chapel. Be there early to get yours and try to collect all-six this season.
The Orange women's soccer team (5:45 p.m.) and spirit squads (5 p.m.) will be signing autographs on the quad as well. The Marching Band will perform at 5:30 on the Hendrick's Chapel Steps. Get to the Toyota Fun Zone early and be sure to pick up a rally towel, courtesy of CNY Chevy.
In the area of the Quad near College place, WhatsApp will have a traveling escape room! You'll use the WhatsApp app for in-experience communication to navigate all the puzzles. Dunkin' will be nearby with samples of various products, gift cards, and other fun promotional items!
Friday's game will also serve as First Responders/Healthcare Appreciation Night.

Quarterback Steve Angeli threw for 417 yards and two touchdowns in last week's home opener, doing most of his damage while marching the Orange on two late scoring drives to erase an 11-point fourth-quarter deficit.
Angeli's passing total stacks up as the ninth-most yards in a single game in program history. He was named a Manning Award Star of the Week following his performance.
