Out of Bounds- Secondary Infraction
On September 24, 2011, an academic tutor placed three individual bets on three NFL teams while in Las Vegas.
The tutor placed $25 on the Dallas Cowboys, $25 on the New England Patriots, and $50 on the Buffalo Bills.
The violation was discovered when another tutor saw gambling bet receipts on the original tutors Facebook page. Â Upon being questioned on the betting activity, he said he was aware that college sports wagering was impermissible, but was unclear about whether wagering on professional sports was also impermissible.Â
